nV News has posted a link to some pretty impressive GeForceFX 5800 Ultra screenshots:
One of our readers has posted some nice, high-quality PNG images from his GeForce FX 5800 Ultra. For those that don’t know, the PNG format is lossless (no loss of quality from original image) as opposed to the lossy compression of JPEG. Here’s a snip from the e-mail:
JPEG is awful for full-resolution video card screenshots. It’s the twenty-first century: we can do better! Here, I use lossless PNG images to exactly capture what’s on my screen. If you run 1600×1200 and view these images full-screen (e.g. using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer in XP), then you’ll be seeing exactly what a GeForce FX puts out.
