Very similar in specification to Logitech’s Z680 5.1 Speaker system, the Z5500 is a high end speaker system for computers, and is currently one of the best on the market. The system can produce ground shaking bass with low distortion sound. The Z5500 retails for around £200 brand new, and I can tell you, its money well spent.
The performance of this system is unrivalled in the pc speaker industry. I found the sound is brilliant, though I have to say that the subwoofer was lacking a little in the lows. Apart from that, everything is good. Through the high-, mid- and low-frequencies, the sound was perfect. The system is 500W RMS,—-now that’s a lot—especially for a speaker system for a computer. I had the subwoofer set turned all the way up, and the master volume on 4, even then the walls were shaking, the bass was strong.
