Not only are they an attractive design but they performed very well. You could certainly pay less for a 2 speaker set with subwoofer, but to combine high quality construction and really good sound is hard to find. The audio is crisp and the satellites provide very good highs which are complemented by the subwoofers’ bass. I’m not an audiophile but I do like a good sounding set of speakers and the Z-3’s certainly deliver in that department. Unfortunately I can’t say that they would be replacing my Z-540’s because of the surround sound that use, but my wife certainly appreciated the speakers connected to her computer. For anyone who wishes to purchase quality speakers but doesn’t want a full spread for surround sound I would definitely recommend the Z-3’s. The price of these speakers might be on the high side for a 2 speaker setup but the quality of the product makes it a good buy
