Logitech Cordless Desktop S 510 with Media Remote Review

October 20th 2005 | Peripherals

With its keyboards Logitech has been focusing on evolution, not revolution, which is fine, because they have a good foundation to built upon. The Logitech Cordless Desktop S 510 Media Remote is Logitech’s first desktop to include a remote control, so you know its aimed at media and home theater PC (HTPC) use. The Cordless Desktop S 510 Media Remote kit is designed with style and media use in mind, as such, it is very well suited for this purpose especially with a Media Center system.

Overall the S 510 has a very good look and feel and though it borrows heavily from the design of the diNovo, I think this is actually a better product. The inclusion of the Media Remote is interesting, and useful under certain conditions, but with a cordless keyboard, why not just bring the keyboard to your couch? The S 510 is also available without the Media Remote for about twenty dollars less.
