An upgrade to the MX 3000, the MX 50000 has a better mouse, better keyboard with more features, and something that I have never seen before on a keyboard. The MX 5000 has a lot of cool technologies that you do not see on keyboard / mouse combos. It also uses Bluetooth.
Overall this is a great combo. I love the feel of both the mouse and keyboard, which you do not find that often. Usually you like either the mouse or the keyboard, not both. Both the mouse and keyboard have added functions that you normally do not have. The ability to use other Bluetooth devices with the mini receiver is really convenient.. ..The one thing that I do not like about the keyboard is that the LCD is not backlit. This means it is basically useless in dim or dark light. For this reason I can only give the Logitech MX 5000 a 9 out of 10.
