Lilliput CL8889NT 8 Inch Touch Screen LCD Review

The Lilliput CL8889NT is an 8″ touch screen TFT LCD monitor. It is very small, practically weightless, and can work at home or in your car, but is capable of a resolution of 800×480 with a widescreen (15:9) aspect ratio. In addition to being small, having enough resolution to get the job done, and being widescreen, the unit has one more thing to show off- it uses a touch screen. So plug in that USB connector and it you can throw your mouse away!

Lilliput has a few other options available, like smaller monitors and units specifically made as televisions, but the CL8889NT is one of the better choices. It’s touch screen is a major selling point for people who want to cut down on clutter and ditch their mouse, which is perfect for a car or Mini-ITX project. The touch capability does add to the cost, so it may be worth investigating other options if this is something you don’t need.
