NVIDIA is now shipping its GeForce 8800 GTS with 320MB of graphics memory, enough for most users running relatively modest resolutions and best of all, it is available at a lower price point. Here is Leadtek’s take on this new variant of NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800 GTS.
..Leadtek’s GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB in this article is not its Extreme, overclocked version. This is a rather average graphics card and it may find itself facing competition in the marketplace due to its unorthodox but still relatively mild clock speeds. With rivals like MSI and Foxconn having significantly overclocked versions, this Leadtek will not be a match in terms of performance out of the box. It did perform better than expected in the overclocking segment, where it just edged out the MSI.
As for the rest of the package, Leadtek has included a decent collection of applications, games and accessories, of which the only major complaint is that the games are getting a little old.
