If you place a Japanese device inside a product of a French-American firm, you get a LaCie d2 Blu-ray drive, one of the first widely available devices capable of recording “blue” discs.
..Having in mind that BR still hasn’t won the battle with HD-DVD, this investment is a little insecure. If you still decide to opt for this standard and believe that this is the winning side (like we do), the high price of the device is a large issue. If that is no problem for you either, blank discs will be. Also, these discs are somewhat difficult to find on the market. As all this is probably going to change very soon, if you are willing to go over these issues, we advise you to enjoy the new standard, the one that finally brought revolution instead of evolution, to the fullest.
