Compatible with all of the dock connector iPods, the Entertainment Dock 500 doesn’t just sit there and look pretty (although it does a good job of that too). It charges your iPod, transmits audio and video to your home theater system, and allows you to control your iPod from up to 50 feet away using a cute little remote control styled after Apple’s trademark white shiny devices.
Audio quality is terrific; clearly this is dependent on the quality of your stereo system, but the Kensington Entertainment Dock clearly isn’t adulterating any of the sound. The remote control is practically flawless, and works well from a distance as well as when the dock unit is somewhat obscured. Additionally, for those with the latest in iPodian technology, the dock features the mighty yellow RCA plug, famous for its ability to transport video from one source to another.
