JVC Everio MG50 Camcorder Review

October 27th 2005 | Cameras

JVC intends to revolutionize media management and do away with the inconveniences of replaceable media by introducing the JVC Everio MG series of camcorders that come with built-in 1.8-inch hard disks. With 30GBs of storage capacity, the high-end MG50 can record up to 7 hours of video on its highest resolution setting before it runs out of disk space. Just like the MC series, the MG series record in MPEG2 format directly, compressing raw video into a more manageable size. This allows you to transfer movies directly to a DVD, which is a boon for the casual home user.

If you’re a frequent traveler with a penchant for shooting those special holiday moments on-the-go, the MG50 should keep you happy with its portability and ease-of-use. Not only does it save baggage space, it is also light enough to be carried around anywhere and everywhere.
