Storage
Removable storage maestro Iomega has had some notable success with its latest range of REV drives and it has put this expertise into a number of other avenues. The NAS 200d series comprises three models offering 320GB, 480GB or 750GB capacities but only the former is available in the REV equipped version. Iomega is promoting this product as an integrated backup appliance and not just a storage appliance.
As a backup solution the NAS 200d, REV and ARCserve partnership works well enough although DR options could be slicker. We would also have liked to have seen more storage capacity for the price but otherwise this smart appliance offers a very good range of features, top backup performance and plenty of security options.
