The Inquirer has picked up on the sponsorship deal between Intel and the Toyota Motorsport Formula 1 team - more details on this can be found at the excellent F1-Live.com website for anyone interested. While Intel’s tech may have some impact for Toyota, the bookies favourite (and mine), will be current World Champion Michael Schumacher making his bid for a record seventh win with Ferrari. Toyota’s slogan here in the UK is The Car In Front Is A Toyota - so I have to add But The Winning Car Is Sponsored By AMD.
Chip giant Intel is to sponsor Toyota Motorsport with the first Chipzilla branded car to race in Cologne on the 17th of January. And the car will be emblazoned with the Itanium 2 logo round about the place where AMD’s logo is on Ferrari F1 cars.
