Best Buy insider Derek sent Gizmodo this bit of info on the December 18 Xbox 360 re-stocking mania at Best Buy:

As a best buy employee, I’ve been informed that we will infact *have* to have the xbox 360’s opening morning of the 18th because they will be running in the sunday ad that comes out on the 18th.. ..As an aside, I’ve done my best to anonymously pass the word to people to be there as early as possible sunday morning. Employees at my store will be there as early as 4am preparing for this “re-release”.
