I was looking forward to this review after my previous experience with Inno3D’s GeForce 7600 GST. The GeForce 7600 GST was a powerhouse waiting to be unlocked and I had the same high-hopes for their GeForce 7900 GS. The GeForce 7900 GS is based on the same G71 architecture as the GeForce 7900 GT, GeForce 7900 GTX and GeForce 7950 GX2 and features Dual-Link DVI and HDTV connections and is SLI and Windows Vista ready.
I think the obvious conclusion is that this graphics card ROCKS. Inno3D has a real gem on their hands here.
For the price, the performance can’t be beat. With the next generation G80 on the horizon, the GeForce 7900 GS makes a great transitional stopgap between an older graphics card and the latest and greatest a few months away. It isn’t the fastest graphics card out there, but the GeForce 7900 GS is able to handle all of today’s most demanding games at a very reasonable price.
