IGP Products Expected to be Main Focus at CeBIT

March 15th 2007 | CPUs & Chipsets

Although DirectX 10-based products are expected to be one the main highlights at CeBIT 2007, which starts March 15, Taiwan-based motherboard makers think IGP (integrated graphic processor) platforms, will also be a major focus of the IT trade show.

Motherboard makers predict motherboards based on Nvidia’s upcoming MCP 73 for Intel and MCP 68 for AMD CPUs will be on show. These chipsets feature a GeForce based IGP and are expected to include HDMI connections and HDPC. Also high-end motherboards based on the nForce 680i LT SLI chipset for AMD processors are likely to be introduced, according to the sources.
