The I/O Magic DVD Burner does exactly what it says it will do and it does one thing that a normal DVD player doesn’t do, and that is become portable by simply unplugging the USB cable and the power cord. This small feature alone allows you to insure that every computer in your house can have access to a DVD player. One of the things that I have used a portable DVD player in my home for is to limit the types of games my children can install on their computer. Without a built-in DVD player in their system even when a friend brings a game over there is no way for them to install it into their computer.
It’s also handy if you happen to have a house full of company and the adults want to watch one DVD and the kids want to watch another, you can move the I/O Magic External DVD Player to a computer and hook it up and they can watch their movie in a separate room.
