Great Expectations - nForce2 & NV35

With the launch of its NV35 graphics chip and rising shipments of its nForce2 core logic chipsets, Nvidia is looking forward to an optimistic prospect for its second-quarter sales, company president and CEO Huang Jen-hsun recently told DigiTimes in a telephone interview.
… Huang said that problems encountered by the NV30 will no longer be seen in the NV35, but like the NV30, the NV35 will be manufactured on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) 0.13-micron process and Nvidia will offer finished card products to its clients in the initial stage.
Huang also estimated that increasing shipments of nForce2 chipsets and notebook, workstation and Xbox graphics chips would boost the company’s revenues in the second quarter. According to Huang, the nForce2 line has been able to enjoy quarter-on-quarter growth of 80% and has gradually extended from the high-end sector to the medium-range, mainstream market.
