Gigabyte in true form has taken up this new chipset as part of their Dual Quad series. Labelled the N680SLI-DQ6, we can only expect the best, as only the best and brightest get the DQ6 naming treatment from Gigabyte.
..Gigabyte’s implementation of their N680SLI-DQ6 in one word is spectacular! Its feature packed design with high overclocking potential makes it definitely a motherboard take into serious consideration. The only down side is the price coming in at around $470 AUD (or roughly $383 USD) in Australia but it’s still cheaper than other high-end versions from other vendors such as the ASUS Striker Extreme. All 680i motherboards carry a heavy price tag and that’s why nForce 680i LT was introduced to give us speed with a price break, but if you want the very best, you will have to pay for it.
Overall we have no problem whatsoever recommending Gigabyte’s N680SLI-DQ6 motherboard to anyone and even the most disconcerting enthusiasts around. 9.5 out of 10, TT “MUST HAVE” Editor’s Choice Award.
