GIGABYTE - Gigabyte 7NNXP Review

July 7th 2003 | Hardware

Today, we’ll be looking into the most interesting model, 7NNXP, and let me put it straight at once - it really has much to look at. First off, Gigabyte decided not to adhere strictly nVidia’s reference scheme with three DIMM slots but released a board featuring 4 memory slots! Secondly, there are two RAID controllers onboard: Parallel and Serial ATA, a high-speed LAN controller. Finally, as the south bridge Gigabyte used the MCP-T chip which added support for the Firewire serial bus and another LAN controller, as well as Dolby Digital 5.1 and nVidia APU (3d-audio "SoundStorm").
