GIGABYTE – Gigabyte 7N400 PRO Review

June 30th 2003 | Hardware

The features on the 7N400 PRO bring even further refinement of recent Gigabyte directions. ITE GigaRAID is much faster and more flexible than when we last saw it on the Sis 655 SINXP1394. You can also now use it as a regular IDE controller for up to 4 hard drives that are NOT in a RAID Array, and it isn’t a big fuss to use it as a standard IDE controller. Since nForce2 does not have native SATA support the Silicon Image is the best SATA controller Gigabyte could choose, and it is certainly a much better choice than the Promise used on other boards.
