Overall, the GA-K8NXP-SLI looks to be a strong contender for the top spot. The board does have its quirks, but nothing too serious that cannot be worked out with a BIOS revision or two. The overclocking shortcomings may also be remedied with a newer BIOS as well. This is definitely a board to keep an eye on, but make sure this board suits your needs before leaping into this solution…
In the past, Gigabyte has continually delivered motherboards with severe lackluster performance. With the GA-K8NXP-SLI, they have broken this cycle. This motherboard is not for the hardcore enthusiast and likely not even the noobie. It did however work well at stock settings for us. The GA-K8NXP-SLI comes packaged with the single SLI video card that will certainly give you stellar gaming performance. The GA-K8NXP-SLI looks to be a great motherboard for those of you looking solid gaming without the need for a stellar overclocking experience.
