Powered by NVIDIA SLI X16 technology and featuring four PCI Express graphics slots, the GA-8N-SLI Quad Royal is the first motherboard that has two 16-lane (X16) PCI Express links. This doubles the bandwidth over the standard 8-lane (X8) SLI solutions and support up to eight monitors simultaneously for multi-monitor capable applications.
Quad SLI technology combine the power of 4 graphic cards in SLI mode, allowing gamers to set their monitors to extreme resolutions, while still maintaining smooth frame rates. It also supports the new 32x antialiasing mode, and 16x anisotropic filtering to enable stunning visuals and image quality for a truly immersive gaming experience.
Being the first NF4-SLI Intel Edition board from Gigabyte, we were pleased that the board was exceptionally stable. Performance wise, we were suprised that the Quad Royal can out-perform the Intel’s flagship i975 chipset.
