Gigabyte AirCruiser G Wireless Router Review

July 27th 2005 | Hardware

Gigabyte has introduced the AirCruiser G Wireless Router, the world’s first internal wireless router. It’s a Wi-Fi access point, firewall and ADSL router with a single 10/100Mbps Ethernet port in a PCI interface that works at wireless speeds of up to 54Mbps - and the antenna has a cool blue blinking LED. t-break has the review:

The base of the antenna is magnetic and thus you can easily attach it on any metal surface, even on the side of your chassis. We tried shaking the chassis but the magnet is strong enough to not allow the antenna to drop. Another thing we liked was the unique blue color LED on top of the antenna that blinks every time data is transferred- again, adding to the cool-factor.

..The AirCruiser G Desktop Router proved to be a reliable and powerful product from Gigabyte and is an excellent solution for combining wired and wireless networks without taking up an desk space or power switches. We recommend this product to anyone who is thinking of getting a Wireless Router and has a desktop with free PCI slots to use.
