GeForce 7800 GT Head-to-Head - AOpen Aeolus 7800 GT vs Asus Extreme N7800 GT

The two cards we’re looking at here [AOpen Aeolus 7800 GT and Asus Extreme N7800 GT] are based on nVidia 7800 GT GPU. Although not as fast as a 7800 GTX, with only 20 pixel pipelines compared to 24 on the GTX, performance isn’t too far off and as it’s significantly cheaper than the GTX it’s going to be the enthusiast’s choice.

The Asus is a more impressive card to hold in your hand but the AOpen is the better performer in your machine. If you want to use ViVo regularly you’ll appreciate the proper break-out, while if you have a cut out window in your PC the blue light show may appeal. Cheaper GT cards are available but with the Asus at least you can see the extra you’re spending your money on.
