NVIDIA’s new GeForce 9500 GT Series is a worthy successor to the 8500 GT - the raw performance almost tripled. NVIDIA has also made their card more energy efficient than ever which results in a very low power consumption, considering the available performance. Performance of the cards is surprisingly good, you should actually be able to play most titles at decent settings with good framerates.
Galaxy did a great job beefing up the 9500 GT performance. The increased clocks alone result in 17% more performance on average, with another 10% available via overclocking (on our sample). The dual slot cooler runs very quiet, especially when the card is loaded. However, those extras come at a price. The Galaxy 9500 GT costs around $90 which is just $10 less than a Radeon HD 3850 which undoubtedly offers more gaming performance.
