Foxconn GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB Overclocked Edition Review

February 20th 2007 | Graphics Cards

The Foxconn GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB Overclocked Edition. Despite its standard design, this Foxconn card is overclocked to speeds similar to the GeForce 8800 GTX so we’re hoping to see what improvements one can expect from that, particularly since the market has been rather deprived of overclocked GeForce 8 graphics cards due to the tight control that NVIDIA has exerted over them.

Foxconn’s overclocked GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB is hopefully a sign of things to come, namely: custom clocked GeForce 8 cards from vendors. Foxconn’s GeForce 8800 GTS is outwardly similar to the default design but at least the clock speeds are much more adventurous, being in the same league (numerically speaking) as the GeForce 8800 GTX. Performance was hence naturally faster than the standard clocked 320MB and even 640MB versions, giving existing owners a very good reason to overclock their cards if they haven’t done so.
