system is the asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe nforce 590 amd sli board
I have 2 raptor 10,000 rpm SATA HD's in a Raid0 stripe configuration
I get a blue screen of death using xp setup drivers, latest drivers on nvidia get me errors. I copy the contents of the sataraid driver folder to floppy and try to install but I get errors up the wazu.
BSD occurs right before you get to the partition selection screen. so its definitively in need of the correct driver but I cant seem to get it.
also tried nlight and made a custom xp iso with no luck either. went to a black screen with a white line in the middle...doh!
can anyone help me out? thanks
vista32 installed without a hitch! wow vista good at something lol

Which driver version and which driver folder did you take?

The integration of the nForce SataRaid drivers by using a tool like nLite definitely is the safest method to get Windows XP installed onto an nForce RAID system. Have you done it according this guide? |

This is the correct driver folder.
Maybe you should try any of my brandnew mixed NF4-6 chipset driver packages you can find here.

All drivers with a file named TXTSETUP.OEM are mass storage controller drivers. The SATARAID folder has such file. |

still getting the bsd with your drivers doing the slipstream install with nlight
bsd technical info is

Since I don't know your configuration it is not easy to solve your problem.
What about your RAM sticks (how many with which capacity? memtest?)?
Is your PSU ok?
Which file system are you using? |

Now I got some informations and a nice picture, but I don't know the reason for your problem.
Have you tried to integrate both IDE folder drivers (SATARAID as textmode and SATA_IDE as PnP driver)? |

I dont know if Im leading you astray but my hard disks are in raid right now and that is a SATA raid. would I still need ide drivers?

Normally not, because the S-ATA driver is within the SATARAID folder too, but some LEGACY mode nForce SataRaid systems need the additional INF file of the SATA_IDE folder to get the nForce IDE drivers properly installed.
Nevertheless I do not believe, that the missing SATA_IDE driver is the reason for your BSOD. It was just a thought. |
