I am definately considering a CLabs card again now that they retracted the fee for ALchemy and got a decent PCI Express card out.

Although the question to me is how they'd get around PCI-Es latency issues, which could be a problem for audio. It's possible they were waiting for PCI Express 2.0 in that respect.

In any case, I may be in the market to find out later.

that's cool.. I'm actually also here considering some basic card to get some EAX levels out from sound. Honestly don't even know how that works I haven't ever in my life used anything else (after Sound Blaster 128 Live and SB AWE64), hehe..

but I know this much that always when I start a game there is some damn audio thing I cannot turn on at new box and that really bothers me. Got here decent headphones and 5.1 setups. with a bit more hifi style speakers.
