Hi, I feel kinda dum but here's how it goes.
First my specs:
Shuttle SN41G2 (FN41 V2.0)
Athlon XP 2500+
2x Samsung 512mb PC3200
Maxtor 80GB
I wanted to upgrade the bios but I was a little hasty so I flashed it with a SN41G2 2.0 (FN41 V3.1) Funny thing is it all works, but I realised my mistake when I couldn't change the FSB (or any other settings for that matter) so it would run 166 instead of 100. So now I want to flash it back to a non-2.0 bios but both WinFlash and AwdFlash refuse to cooperate since they say those bios aren't compatible with my current version. I was wondering if you guys could help me |

| What happens if you use the /f switch with awdflash, this should force the bios on it. Make sure you have the correct bios though. |

I did try this:
http://www.biosman.com/biosrecovery.html
Which says tu use the \f option. I used the latest correct bios but the board simply wouldn't boot afterwards. I gave up and bought a new case, motherboard, powersupply and videocard. At least now it works
I'll try to buy a new bios chip sometime and make it into a TV PC.

I made the same mistake! and now my Athlon XP 2400+ is locked at 100mhz FSB. Unfortunately I don't have any other machine since the motherboard on my other rig surrendered.
Is there really no fix?!? |

| I was able to forceflash it with the correct bios and it works now for me just fine. You have to use the DOS program and bootup in DOS to do it. For my SN41G2, I also needed a video card installed to get it to even come up. |

the best I've gotten -after installing the FN41 v2.0 (the proper ones for my motherBoard) BIOS is 133fsb. I still can't get it to 166 therefore my CPU registers as a 2200+ instead of the 2400+ that it is.
Which BIOS are you running? |
