It's a different kettle of fish though, GPU's are already 'many' cores, or rather each unified shader pipeline is it's own processor, the architecture is inherently parallel

Besides the 8800/9800 die is already huge with up to 128 SP's and if they could shoehorn another 128 SP's onto the same die without the thing exploding they would have already done so... Wink

Only if you have a suitably large screen with a corresponding very high res to go with it it.

Otherwise a total waste of time, money and energy.

These cards now only relate to screen/res size in terms of performance need.
