You just knew that this was all going to end in tears one day.

Serves them all right really.

Just keep ramping up the horsepower and worry about the heat later. Rolling Eyes

Finally, XbitLabs review of the GTX2x0:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 200 Graphics Architecture Review: Born to Win?

New Nvidia GTX 200 graphics architecture is just as interesting as the recently announced ATI Radeon HD 4800 that is why it deserves thorough and detailed discussion. Today we are going to talk about the results of synthetic benchmarks obtained from Gainward GeForce GTX 280 and Leadtek GeForce GTX 260.

Only site I know that measures cards power consumption, not full systems at the wall:

And game reviews:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 and 260: Gaming Performance Review

Our study of the theoretical potential of Nvidia GeForce GTX 200 graphics architecture showed that these new solutions are pretty promising, however, have a few issues of their own. The test session in contemporary games should cross all t’s and dot all i’s on this matter.

Nvidia Plans to Add Another Graphics Card into GTX 200 Lineup.
Nvidia Readies “Upgraded” GeForce GTX 260 – Rumours
...
Already in September the company plans to add another board into the lineup, which will have the same clock-speeds with the GTX 260 model, but with 216 SPs, 72 TUs, 30 RBEs and 896MB of GDDR3 memory connected using 448-bit interface. Expreview web-site claims that the new board will be an upgraded version of the GTX 260, however, since silent increase of performance of an already existing graphics card will cause a lot of confusion on the market, it is highly likely that Nvidia will introduce the GeForce GTX 270 instead.

ASUS ENGTX280 TOP

Prices continue to drop on GeForce GTX 280 video cards, and the ASUS ENGTX280 TOP is now priced very competitively; but is it a great value? We'll compare it to a stock GeForce GTX 280, a Radeon HD 4870 X2 and a Radeon HD 4870 in real-world gaming scenarios to find out!

ASUS ENGTX260 TOP

The falling prices of NVIDIA’s latest video cards have brought the GeForce GTX 260 down to ATI Radeon HD 4870 levels. We have a brand new ASUS GeForce GTX 260 TOP to stack up to the Radeon HD 4870 and see how they perform in Crysis, Age of Conan, and Call of Duty 4.
