New SATA CD ROM Identified Incorrectly in Vista 64bit

MB : Abit NF M2S , chipset : GeForce6100 + 405 Graphics.

OS : Vista Premium 64 bit.

Mem 2 Gig, Proc is 2.2 Ghz dual core AMD

Problem : Added SATA drive to existing install, noticed the new SATA ASUS DRW-1814BLT (Black lightscribe, 18x SATA), would write 4x with 16x media in the drive. Decided to update firmware. Result is firmware update records "No device found". So I rescanned in Device Manager for drive, and noticed it's being recognised as a "SCSI CD-ROM Drive"

Can anyone help me update my drives firmware?

Fixed it, I had the wrong firmware. Still Windows doesn't do "SATA" ID properly. Hopefully write speed will be better.
