Hi all,
I have found a way to make NVmixer working in Vista.
2. download & install "4.64_nForce_winvista_audio_32bit.zip" from Nvidia web site:
download link:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/license/location.asp?url=http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/vista/beta1/4.64_nForce_winvista_audio_32bit.zip
3. download "4.62_nforce_audio_winxp2k_international_whql.exe"
download link:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_audio_4.62_win2kxp.html
Unzip it using winrar or 7-zip, and then go to the folder "AudioUtl" and install NVMixer 1.0.451. after installation, if it prompt error, just click ok or cancel to close it. close the nvmixer tray program as well.
4. now go to C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NvMixer, the program folder,
right click on "NvMixer.exe" and choose property, then click "compatibility", and choose "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2).
and press ok to save it.
5. do the same thing to NvMixerTray.exe.
6. after all done, double click NvMixerTray.exe to start the program. it will not complain anything. double click the NvMixerTray icon to open the NVMixer. it should working fine as well.
This is tested (by me) for running on Vista x86 and x64 without problem.
Good luck.

| Does 4.64 work better than 4.66? 4.66 occasionally gets very crackly when i do something that has a constant audio stream: Music, Movies, Skype, etc. |

Matthew:
FWIW, I was using 4.66 in Vista and would only get the very occasional hiccup on very CPU intensive operations.
Something that you might not be aware of though, and I thought I'd pass it along:
If you install TweakVI, or other Vista tweaking programs, make NO changes or tweaks to system cache or CPU. Everytime I've tried to make changes in these areas, audio becomes quite choppy.
Also,
This morning, I remembered that when I used XP, my audio was kind of choppy in my DVR application, SnapStream Beyond TV. I found this could be completely eliminated by using SoundStorm drivers 3.75. Just for fun, I booted my Vista system to SAFE mode and installed the 3.75 drivers via the device manager. I've been playing for a few hours, and have not heard a single abberation in the audio. In addition, to my ears, the high end sounds a bit sweeter than 4.66.
