I know this isn't an Nforce chipset board but I'm wondering if anyone else is haveing as much luck with this board as I am? I picked up an opteron 148 and am currently useing an ATI 9800pro (AGP) which I just took out of a machine I am retireing,2X512MB rev 2 OCZ 3200 and I'm currently running 11X270 with the CPU at 1.4V. I grabbed this board for well under 100$ Canuck just because I didn't want to fork for another high end vidcard right at this time but most likely will in the next several months. I had a lot of luck with the MATX onboard video mobo from Asrock I thought I'd give this a shot and does it fly. I'm waiting on some good cooling for the chip and I'm sure I can make 3gz without too much trouble.
Not to shabby for a PCI-E, AGP board I must say. Very sad to see Soltek leave the business and I have been kinda bouncing around my last couple of builds but this little box is sweet for the money. |

Radiohead-
I've been checking out the reviews on this ULI board myself. What got me interested was the possibility of both AGP & PCI-E. From what I've read, there is no loss of performance with either interface. It will be nice to have AGP backup incase I get carried away with the next videocard. With the relatively low cost of the board, it will also allow me to go the the 939/A64 route instead of 754/Sempron. Let me know if you run into any oddities.
I will also miss Soltek and the personalized support I have received from them. Sad to say, I don't think we'll find that kind of service elsewhere.

Well bubba put it like this. I haven't messed with the board a whole lot cuz I haven't had too. I still fuly intend to shoot for 3.0GHZ in the not too distant future. I have been very busy with seasonal stuff and to be honest one of my boxes is going out the door in the next few days. I currently have six boxes running in my basement and 5 Windows operating systems and one box is running linux till I can get a few more $$s together for some more stuff. I have another opteron on the way which should be here before weeks end along with a new mobo and 7800GT vidcard. The mobo and vid card were a bundle which I couldn't resist for under 400$ canuck and both are eVGA (mobo and Vid card). I'm kinda holding off till they get here so I don't have as much heartache with Bill Gates and his gang of gougers.
The board has been ROCK SOLID since day one at 11X270 default Vcore!! |

I have an Opteron 144, DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra D, 512X2 Patriot low latency PC3200 and XFX 6600GT on the way - should be here in time for a weekend build. I bit the bullet and went PCI-E. I previewed the manual for the DFI - enough options to keep me busy for a long time.
My last build was Soltek Golden Flame, it's been awhile. Funny that both these boards have UV reactive yellow PCI(E) sockets.
Next one is gonna have to be a different color.
