If a new Epia comes out with one of these CPU's i'll have one to replace my old Epia-M1000 board (which is getting a tad long in the tooth now... ) |

Now if only a mobo would come out that would support like 6 of these, I'd be set. |

hehe, no more "a whole, half of ten minutes battery life" on my lappy.
wait, I don't have a lappy...
It would be nice to see that though, I don't beleive it's something I should frag on(honestly, I don't know what these can do), but I'm sure I could count on one to handle schoolwork and business stuff.
I used to only buy mobos with VIA chipsets, that is, until I got "nLightened", damn near forgot about these folks, I'll keep an eye on this one. |

Well I have a VIA C3 Nehemiah 1Ghz CPU intergrated on my Epia-M1000 MiniITX board (My current media centre), and the performance is roughly about the same as a 600Mhz P3, and still uses only 11W IIRC. It's never a games machine, but it still gets a few points in 3DMark01:-

Which is enough for games like Baldurs Gate 2 and NWN, and most other RTS's.
I imagine the new VIA 1.5Ghz Eden CPU's should have a fair bit more "oomph", but they are a very simple "In-Order" design, which is why they draw tiny amounts of power also. |
