MEI's nWare Release 06.06 BETA 3 (x86/x64) - nForce UDP Rmx

Postby mei » Mon Jun 12, 2006 9:36 pm

MEI's nWare Release 06.06 BETA 3 (x86) :
http://troglo.u-strasbg.fr/~3fmauricard ... _beta3.exe
MEI's nWare Release 06.06 BETA 3 (x64) :
http://troglo.u-strasbg.fr/~3fmauricard ... _beta3.exe

Infos :
I've only updated with the latest 91.31 ForceWare and modified a little my modded INF for IDE SW.

Expect final release when NVIDIA release a non-BETA ForceWare/nForce set.

@ Mei and bigirb2002:

Many people with an nForce SataRaid system are asking for the brandnew IDE drivers (especially x64) off your packages to get Windows XP x64 or Vista x64 installed onto their nVRaid array.
It would be very appreciated, if you could manage a separate upload of the IDE drivers part (or just the LEGACY directory) of your x86 and x64 packages to avoid the download of the whole package and the "installation" of it to get the necessary files for a successful nForce SataRaid driver integration.
My current system:

My previous system:

Thank you, Mei! This is exactly what I asked for (although the predicate "IDE SW" is a little bit misleading).

@all, who want to integrate the newest nForce SataRaid drivers into a bootable CD:

Mei's download link leads you directly to NVIDIA's newest, but complete nForce SataRaid driver package. It contains all IDE subfolders (LEGACY, RAIDTOOL, SATA_IDE and SATARAID) for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows XP x64. The size of the package is 6,46 MB. The included SataRaid drivers are exactly the same as those you find within NVIDIA's newest chipset driver package 9.34.

Just wanted to confirm these drivers are working great for the system in my sinature.

I do have a couple questions though (excuse the newb)

1. Do PCI-E uers need to install GART or is that only for AGP users?
2. What is the difference between Pre-NRM and NRM?

-Thanks

the gart driver won't install on PCI-E systems as it won't detect the device id of the agp controller.

PreNRM is for old 100mb ethernet controllers on nf2 and 1,

Hi Mei,

Is there increased performance or quality in your remix versus the latest Nforce AMD 6.70 driver?

What about the latest Audio and IDE drivers?

thanks,
Maxx77.

Audio is updated version for Vista support so for now they could be buggy.
IDE SW is really safer and faster then previous.

Thanks Mei,

When you say the latest IDE SW is faster, you are refering to a better benchmark score or a feeling that all is faster, like apps taking less time to load or better disk cache management?

Thanks again,

Maxx77.

Feeling, but In fact there is a real difference as with 5.52 I've ~230MBps of burst rate and only ~150MBps with 6.xx (especially 6.67) ... so cache management is different I think.
