the problem is not nforce2... it's the latest ATI drivers don't support AGP video cards right.. there is a bug.

You can try a hotfix located here:
http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=31625

Quote:
This hotfix resolves the following issues:

* Fix for problems with DirectX and Radeon AGP Graphics cards.
* Crysis: DirectX 10 Performance optimizations using Crossfire

or.. you have to go back to 7.6 CATS.. they were the last working drivers for AGP.

Roundabout a variant. Has collided with a situation after purchase HD radeon 2600 pro. On Epox 8RDA3L (nforce2) try to reduce by 10-15 % FSB. For example on 166 trunk works on 146. On 133 trunk on 125. On 200 on 180. All is stable. catalyst 7.12 - 8.1 DXdiag mistakes does not give out. The driver incorrectly perceives values? Including overclocking? Decisions while are not present.
