|
|
|
I have ASUS A7N266VM-SE, running an nForce 220D chipset. I dont have WinXP SP1 and I attempted to install the latest UDP (5.1). However it didn't (just exited) and I also reinstalled the original drivers.
Now my USB ports have stopped working. There is no response when I plug in a USB device. Installed device (printer) is not working. When I click print, page is spooled and no printing takes place.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!! I DESPERATELY NEED TO PRINT MY WORK MATERIAL!!!!!!!! |

try to disable USB 2.0 from the bios .... and also see in the system properties control panel>system>hardware>device maneger
if there is any thing which is not installed or having "!" mark in front of it try to install it manually from the driver set u have or the CD provided with motherboard ..... |

Welcome to NFHQ!
Delete the USB controller and reboot. See if that helps. |

There are no such options regarding disabling USB 2.0
No "!" appear in Device Manager. |

The chipset drivers won't help you at all because they got nothing to do with USB. USB drivers come from the OS and you should consider update to SP2 or at least SP1 for better USB support. |

If it is so , then why has USB stopped working? Do you think it is related to installation of UDP 5.1 at all?
And since USB 2.0 is not supported.... I can go ahead with installing it without SP1. But why does it just exit? |
