Uber / Trats Bios 1013 for A7N8X-E Deluxe with 4.2.83 SATA

Hallo everybody.

I was very happy when I found this thread. But I have two problems.

First:
When i Flash my BIOS to the version with the SATA controller version 4.2.79, I think nothing change. When the Controller Bios shows me his text on the screen i can read that he had has th version 4.2.50.


Second:
When i flash the v 4.2.83 I got this message when the PC wants to bppt from the hard drive:
"A disk read error occured"



Can someone help me?

After flashing, you have to make your settings in Bios. Also change the Bootdevice... Bios flashing sets it to default, and then this ErrorMessage comes.

Thanks for the bios, i wanted to do it myself (integration of latest SATA driver).
I am happy also for your about the seagate HD 'cause i am facing exactly the same troubles with seagate HD in raid mode.

I'll try to change the bios default to match with my configuration mow.

Currently using my original bios i cannot boot form my sata dvd burner. Will updating to this firmware fix that problem?

You saved my day (eeh night ) with this bios !

My A7N8X-E deluxe just stopped booting when i enabled the onboard sata and put a 500GB drive on.
Asus updated bios ? - nowhere .

i know this thread is a little old but i am having an issue with the uber bios - i want to use 2 floppy drives, a 3.5 and a 5.25, but the setting for legacy drive b refuses to stick and there is no floppy drive b in the boot screen that tells you all the resources and such, i'd really like dual drive capability with my a7n8x-e deluxe but can't figure this out. windows vista sees the drive regardless but wants a driver for the second floppy. but i REALLY would like to get the bios to see it like it's supposed to

Actually I have the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe not the "E" but I have the same problem.. can't boot from a new SATA DVD burner and wondering if their is any resolution for this... Thx

I added a 1To seagate HDD to the 2nd SATA port to my A7N8XE-deluxe bios 1013 Asus genuine and it is not recognized by the sataraid bios (original 4247).
I'll try to upgrade bios with 4284 Uber bios1013 -
OS (WXP-pro SP2) is on the 1st SATA HDD, I dont want to use any Raid capability, the seagate will be for video storage, do you think my WXP will start after flashing or it will be necessary to use the DVD repair procedure ??
