I've had this board for 2 years or so. Worked perfect and has been overclocked since day 1. Anyway, today, I had to do a hard reboot, and it would not boot up. Code locks on FF the second its turned on, instead of cycling. I took out the CMOS battery and cleared the CMOS jumper, still nothing. Same thing with a different PSU. Fans spin, drives spins, no signal however. I'm guessing it might be the BIOS chip. Oh yeah, I've checked all connections and reseated everything. The setup has been the same for over a year, so it shouldn't be the memory. If anyone has any ideas, let me know! Thanks.

Are you absolutely positive every device embedded and attached is working?

FF is the final POST for the BIOS as an OK check before "turning control' over to the hardware. That it's appearing from the start I'd venture hardware related.

I'd start by checking all my cables.
Then I'd pull/remove any add-on cards ya have and try to duplicate.
Then I'd start disabling the built-in(on) devices and try to duplicate.

Thanks for the help. I took out everything, and nothing changed. At this point, its the bios chip, or the entire board. CPU? Doubtful, but who ever knows. I'll see what happens when the new bios chip shows up. Crying or Very sad

Do you know what caused this? It's most likely the culprit.

My kid's stupid Ed, Edd, and Eddy Midway game leaves some process going that crashes IE at times. It only happens right after closing the game. Normally, I can close the process, and a min later all is fine. My fiancee was whining about the PC not working, so I just did the hard reboot. I guess an impatient woman caused it. Laughing

My board did that very same thing and it turned out to be a bad power supply.
