no SPDIF signal (red light)

I know there are a lot of SPDIF and nForce problems, but I couldn't find an answer after hours of searching posts. Please help.

My motherboard (ASUS A7N266-VM) isn't sending the digital signal to the SPDIF board that I have plugged into the MB. The Spectrum Analyzer shows stuff going on, but the red light isn't coming on for the optical. Which means that it isn't getting a signal, right? I've tried reinstalling the drivers, (both nvidia and realtek) but I don't get anything. Anybody have a solution? Here are some screenshots to verify my settings:






EDIT: I just wanted to add that analog (Lime Green out) works just fine.
EDIT2: The red optical light is coming on, its just not as bright as I thought it should be, but I can tell its coming on when I plug the board in. (damn)
