Hi guys,I have in my dual sound card setup,and I am using the onboard for games,but i Have a doubt...the soundstorm have hardware accelereation?I search over google and I think yes,but not 100% sure...
other thing,eax and that kind of thing are done by hardware or software?
I am using the soundstorm for games because my soundcard doesn't have hardware acceleration (via envy24ht,via claim that it downgrades the quality of sound).
Do you think that spending 25/30eur in and audigy 2 is worth?I don't game too much... |

Yes. Soundstorm definately has hardware acceleration. Though I've seen some confusion about which motherboards it's actually on, and it hasn't been well supported in some time.
The Audigy 2 series is worthwhile if you game more, which you say isn't the case...
If you plan on going to Vista I'd avoid Creative...they've pretty much made a complete joke of the sound industry and MS turned the tables on em. |

I don't plan to go on vista,I think for now the soundstorm is enough..I'll try to do a cable to "join" the 5.1 of the soundstorm to my line in...
This thing in creative cards is simplified because there is a program that does this..it is a virtual cable..it is called velbac..=) |
