Thanks for having your head up!
The first 2 driver packs you have linked do only contain the wellknown nForce IDE drivers 10.3.0.21 dated 01/25/2008. We have already seen these nForce IDE drivers, which are only compatible with a few nForce chipsets, as part of nForce chipset packages published by some mainboard manufacturers.
Although these drivers have the same version number and release date, they are not the same as the ones, which were part of NVIDIA's meanwhile withdrawn 15.17/15.18 packs!
More interesting is the third package, which contains the nForce SATARAID drivers v10.3.50.8 dated 03/12/2008.
Here is the README.TXT file content:
| Code: |
This is MCP78 nForce WinVista 64-bit driver package for HP-CPC-Platfrom contains:
Installer version 5.84
IDE SataRAID Driver (v10.3.50.8) WHQL
RAIDTOOL Application (v10.3.50.8) |
According to the INF file the nForce SATARAID drivers v10.3.50.8 do not support any other chipset than MCP78.
Due to the fact, that the SATA_IDE folder is missing, it will be difficult to create a modded nForce IDE driver pack, which would be usable for all nForce chipsets from NF4 up. |

| Yeah, actually I started browsing through HP for "nForce" drivers and found about 5 different sets of drivers, but I'm sure they're all known... |

Was there something wrong with 15.18 for them to withdraw it? Or are you aware of any problems? It seems to work fine. |

Although NVIDIA didn't give any statement regarding the reason for the removal of these packs from their global websites, it certainly has to do with severe issues nForce RAID users got after the installation of the included IDE drivers.
If you don't have an nForce RAID system, you probably are not affected by these issues. |
