Leadtek Nforce2 Ultra 400 (K7NCR18D PRO II) Max Processor?

Hello,

I currently have this board with a Athlon XP 3200+

I cannot quite afford the costs involved in getting a new board, memory etc.. and wondered if I have any options available to me to replace my processor?

Does this board support Athlon X2 or Athlon 64 or anything else slightly faster than the 3200+? If yes do I need a specific BIOS/Firmware upgrade?

I have just ordered an ATI X1950 Pro Graphics Card which appears to be the fastest AGP available to me. If I can find a cheap option to upgrade my processor a little I think I can give my machine an extra lease of life for another 12-18 months maybe.

Your help is appreciated.

no more cpus for your rig. the best you can do is over clock the fsb. that would depend on your heatsink and memory.

you have locked yourself in with the agp card you just ordered.

and your psu is more than likely going to come into play also.
