Weird Sound card issue

Hi there

I wonder if someone could shed some light on this....

When i have outlook 2007 open if i listen to music, watch a movie etc the sound stutters, if i close it its fine.

I have tried a scandisk, defrag etc and nothing cures it?

most it hits is around 7% when Outlook is open, it usually idles around 1-2% usage.
