Ah, I'm still running XP at the moment :S although I use videolan to watch DVD's I think WM10 supports purevideo not sure on any other programs!

Running Vista64 on my HTPC...

I stream 720P, Dolby DTS media (.mkv, .wmv and .ts) off my LAN server and the CPU usage on the HTPC seldom breaks 10% Very Happy

That test was done using VLC, but I use mostly MediaPortal just for the remote control convenience... not noticed any drop in Video quality.

As I understood it, it was as much a hardware issue as driver - but nVidia was dropping the quality to mask the fact the hardware couldn't decode the video at full quality.
