External usb drive not detect on A7N8X-E Deluxe

I've got thist external usb drive from my brother. It has 2 usb heads to plug in to port. But win xp does not detect the drive.

USB ports are work fine with usb stick and the external drive work fine on other box too???

I already have 1 IDE and 1 SATA in the box. not sure if this a problem[the external is SATA, may be silicon chip doesn't like the external one].

Any Suggestion please? Confused Confused Confused
