I just reinstall Windows then installed Nvidia audio driver but still no sound Sad

I'd try clearing CMOS. If that doesn't bring back sound then return it if it's still under warranty.

has anyone thought to look in services to see if the windows audio service is enabled?

Bought a X-Fi XtremeMusic and finally i have sound and much better Smile anyway thanks for the help guys Wink this tread can be closed.

Make sure that you check there are the apporpriate jumpers on the "F_audio"
I had the same issue and was banging my head against the wall till I looked at the manual and noticed that pins 5-6 and 9-10 were jumped. causing the motherboard to know what jacks it was going to.
