| YES!!! I finally got it together thanx for all the responses. The onboard video is ok I only bought 512mb memory so its a decent internet box i can play most games but this in no way compares with a full up gaming rig but for the money it was a great deal. you will need to buy a 24 pin PSU thats SATA ready and also this mother board doesnt come with a SATA cable either. no problems with install upped memory voltage out of habit but other than that no other changes running smooth with an AMD 3000 80gb SATA drive WINXPSP2 |

I've owned the 6100 socket754 for a bit more than 2 months now.
I had to recycle some old PC2100 2x256 memory cuz i couldn't afford new.
Coupled with a Sempron 3400+ (overclocked to 2400 from 2000) haven't tried higher (yet)
Haven't tinkered with RAID
all is stable and life is good
There isn't a ton of Vcore OC options but the ones there seem to be enough for my overclock.
BIOS updates available at the TW site not the US site
my Temps are 33C idle - 41C full load (stock air, while overclocked)
Only drivers ive changed from the ones that are on the CD is the Video Drivers, used newest Forceware
3DMark03 is 862
SuperPI (1M) = 43seconds
these scores would undoubtedly be higher if i had better memory (thats coming when i can afford to get a new graphics card)
i had 1 BSD but me in my excitement of getting a new Mobo/CPU n stuff - i had not secured the molex connector on my primary drive as well as i should have - of course this was a simple fix - ive also attached a heat sink to my North Bridge chip - no problems with it, i just felt like i should do it.
any other questions feel free to ask

small update - my bother in law upgraded his computer memory - gave me a couple DDR 333 256mb samsung memory dimms which work great with my system, i still want to upgrade to at least 1 gig of ddr 400
my sister got me a 256mb Geforce 6200 video card for my birthday
i know it's not top of the line but hell it plays Quake 4 at 1028x764 at high quality nice and smooth - can't complain for the price
system is still running great with no issues whatsoever |

I just built a 3200+64_80gig sataII around the 6100 mobo with only 256 memory (just for now ) my first 64 bit prcessor W-hoo!. (my first computer was an Acorn Electron)
Whole system including a 450W tower came in at £250 using existing rom drive and yellow yellow floppyD.
Downloaded a couple of 3D demo's and a benchmark prog. Considering I have such low levels of RAM its coping really well. spanking P4 benchmark PC's although some hot P4 systems (with dedicated GFX and decent ammounts of memory) are only a small way ahead. Once I max up the memory its going to be one of THE best budget systems i have come accross. And I hope its going to be future proof for some time to come.
All I use it for is quality audio DTP/light SMax tasks etc so mega 3D power is not top priority for me.
Good to have the odd Quake bloodbath now and then though to clear ones head.
I have not installed any overclocking tool's ... I prize reliability. Its running 100% stable for me. Gave it some heavy loads and the processor never goes over 37deg. |

I love this board, the 939 version. It's in my Q-pack aspire case with an athlon 64 3200 and 2gb rosewill ram. I don't overclock much but I can attest that this board ROCKS. Another board I have is the ASrock 939 dual sata2. That board is just as great.
