Asus released the En8800GTS TOP version several weeks ago, BUT no-one can seem to find them for sale anywhere.ClubIt said they wont carry that card but wont say why,and I have yet to hear from newegg or asus.I did read somewhere that nvidia put the hammer down on factory overclocked new gts boards because of something to do with the GTX boards.Hmmm.I wonder if its because the new gts boards(ocd) outperform or come close to the speed of thier #1 GTX board and cost a-lot less.So do any of you know whats up???I really want to buy that asus card. check this out.-- http://usa.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=9243

who cares?

i got the normal asus EN8800GTS and clocked it to TOP speed using RT.

Only a moron would buy a card because its "overclocked" out of the box because everyone can do this with rivatuner or similar tools.

havent seen any problem running mine at those speeds.

So get the EN8800 and clock it, or maybe even better flash it with a TOP bios Smile

edit: since i had my "non" TOP running for weeks already using rivatuner i actually just DID what i said above:

I used nvflash and saved my original bios to USB stick. I loaded nibitor and edited the bios and put the same clock values as in the TOP in the bios:

The bios of the "non" TOP and TOP is identical except the three speeds, core, shaderspeed, memspeed.

then i flashed it back with nvflash.

Saves me using 3rd party tools like rivatuner Smile

the TOP speeds are:

740, 1800, 1035

or just use rivatuner to overclock if you dont like bios flashing.
